Harris wins $66M option year under space operations contract

Order brings Harris' total under this contract up to $351 million

Harris Corp. has won the fifth option year, worth $66 million, for its Network and Space Operations and Maintenance contract.

The contract is for 6 and half years, goes toward the operation, maintenance, and logistical support of the U.S. Air Force Space Command’s 50th Space Wing Mission.

It is potentially worth $418 million, of which Harris has won $351 million, as of this award.

Under this contract, Harris is supporting inbound and outbound data and communications with Defense Department satellites by delivering operations and maintenance support to the Air Force Satellite Control Network equipment at ten different locations worldwide, according to Harris.

Its team on this contract includes the following:

  • ASRC Aerospace
  • Arctic Slope World Services
  • Avaya Government Solutions
  • Faith Enterprises Inc.
  • Gunther Douglas
  • Lockheed Martin Information Technology
