GDIT wins $42M task order for computer forensics
Fourth task order that GD has won under IT Triple S contract

General Dynamics Information Technology has won a $42.2 million task order to support the FBI's computer forensics networks.
Under the order, the company will provide IT services to the FBI’s Computer Analysis Response Team Storage Area Network.
The network provides bureau personnel with the infrastructure to acquire, process and present latent digital information contained within physical evidence, General Dynamics said.
The order was awarded under the FBI Information Technology Supplies and Support Services contract, which is an eight-year, $30 billion multiple-award task order contract that was awarded in October 2010. The contract is often called IT Triple S.
It is available to all Justice Department agencies.
General Dynamics has already won three task orders under this vehicle to deliver information assurance and security services for the FBI’s digital evidence section, to operate and maintain the FBI’s enterprise management system and to support virtual server platforms and thin client configurations in enterprise-wide FBI environments, the company said.
