ICF scores $9.2M task order for CDC data exchange, informatics support

ICF International has won a $9.2 million task order with the Health and Human Services Department for data exchange and informatics services in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The task order has a one-year base and two option years, and was awarded under the CDC Information Management Services contract.

Under the task order, ICF is to provide data exchange and laboratory informatics services to the Centers’ Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services, Public Health Surveillance and Informatics Program Office, and the Division of Informatics Solutions and Operations.

The company said that its work will support the Centers across a range of services related to public health and clinical laboratories initiatives.

The company said that its efforts will strengthen and expand data exchange capabilities by making them more adaptable to the different information technology environments in which they operate; boosting them through coordination with other initiatives in laboratory integration and health informatics; advancing the capabilities’ ability to support new public health events; and improving the quality, availability and usability of data in general.
