MicroTech hires new SVP, CFO

MicroTech has named Vineet Puri senior vice president and chief financial officer, where he will be responsible for managing Microtech’s finance, accounting, treasury, compliance, risk management and pricing functions.

Puri replaces Tomas Esterrich, who is moving onto lead the company’s new international business development initiative.

Before joining MicroTech, Puri held the position of vice president of finance at Inmarsat/Stratos since 2007, where he was responsible for managing financial oversight of Stratos Government Services through the leading of financial operations, government compliance, risk mitigation and pricing functions.

Before Stratos, Puri served as director of financial planning and analysis at Intelsat for seven years, where he was responsible for business analysis, long range financial planning, corporate budgeting and forecasting.

He has also held positions at American Management Systems Inc. and Information Systems and Networks Corp.

He holds a masters of business administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of commerce from University of Delhi, the company said.
