SPA's new contract takes on Coast Guard efficiency

Systems Planning and Analysis Inc. has won the Operations Research and Mathematical Modeling Support Services contract, valued at $7.8 million over five years.

The contract was awarded by the U.S. Coast Guard Research and Development Center. All work is in support of the center’s Modeling and Simulation Center of Expertise, which is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Coast Guard’s operations, resource utilization, acquisition, and analytic methods for critical decisions.

Work will take place at the company’s headquarters in Alexandria, Va., and at the research and development center’s facilities in New London, Conn.
