Alion names new CFO

Alion Science and Technology has named Barry Broadus chief financial officer, effective Sept. 11, 2012. Having acted as chief financial officer of Alion since April 23, 2011, Broadus will continue providing direction for the companies short and long term financial objectives, Alion said.

“Barry is an excellent leader who will provide insight, guidance and advice on Alion’s financial strategies,” said Alion’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Bahman Atefi.

Broadus joined the company in 2008, before which he had provided financial oversight for business units that served both commercial and government customers at companies including Science Applications International Corp., Brainbench and EDS.

He brings experience in financial management reporting, budgeting, planning and forecasting to his new role, the company said.
