EXECUTIVE MOVE

TASC names new EVP, COO

TASC Inc. has promoted John P. Hynes Jr. to serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer, where he will push the company to meet rapidly evolving customer requirements, TASC said.

Hynes began working at TASC in 1990 as an analyst, and held a number of positions at the company. He left in 2001, however, to serve in other leadership roles, such as senior vice president and general manager of Science Application International Corp.’s Mission Support Business Unit, as well as president of ManTech Security and Mission Assurance.

He rejoined TASC in 2011, becoming senior vice president of the company’s defense and civil group, where he served until his current promotion.

Hynes spent eight years serving the U.S. Navy, and holds both a bachelor of science degree in economics from the Naval Academy, and a master’s degree in management information systems from George Washington University.
