URS Corp. hires on new VP of contracts

URS Corp. has named Debbie Thurman as their new vice president of contracts and procurement for the federal services division, according to a Govconwire announcement.

Before joining URS, Thurman was senior vice president of corporate contracts at ManTech International Corp, where she also served as deputy for the systems engineering and advanced technology group. She was vice president of contracts, pricing and procurement with TASC Inc. before moving to ManTech.

Thurman retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1997, having spent 24 years as a contracting officer, as well as having completed a two-year assignment at the National Reconnaissance Office, the announcement said.
