CONTRACT AWARDS

Seven small contractors win $249.6M contract

Seven small businesses won a $249.6 million task-order contract from the Navy for engineering and technical services.

The winning contractors are as follow:

  • Centuria Corp.
  • Forward Slope Inc.
  • Geocent LLC
  • Global InfoTek Inc.
  • KAB Laboratories Inc.
  • Sentek Consulting
  • X-Feds Inc.

Services will be provided for the purpose of supporting infrastructure and application service integration requirements.

Each contractor received $2,100 at the time of the award, and if all options are exercised, the contracts could reach a combined value of $249.6 million.

Also, if all options are exercised, work could continue until July 2015; otherwise, work is expected to be completed by July 2013 in the following locations:

  • Charleston, S.C.
  • San Diego, Calif.
  • Washington, D.C

Contract funds will not expire at the end of fiscal 2012, and the contractors may compete for each task order of the awarded contract.

Mark, Your subject headline seems somewhat misleading...because what the seven small contractors won was the opportunity to compete.
