7 win $225M Navy security contract

Seven companies will compete for task orders under a new $224.9 million Navy contract for security services.

The companies will provide security engineering support services for Navy and other government activities in the Washington, D.C., area, according to a Defense Department announcement.

The winners are:

  • BAE Systems
  • Honeywell Technology Solutions
  • L-3 Services Inc.
  • M.C. Dean Inc.
  • ManTech International
  • Science Applications International Corp.
  • VT Milcom Inc.

The services the companies will provide include engineering, analysis, development, acquisition, integration, installation, testing, software development and maintenance, and integrated logistical support for anti-terrorism and force protection systems.

If all options are exercised the contract will run through July 2017.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, S.C., ran the procurement. It received 11 bids.
