TASC taps analytics expert to lead business unit

TASC Inc. has named Scott Heefner vice president of financial and business analytics. He joins the systems engineering and integration company from Project Time & Cost Inc., where he was vice president of federal programs.

TASC’s financial and business analytics group provides a broad portfolio of analytical decision-support services to help national security and other federal government customers make informed programmatic and budgetary decisions, according to the company announcement released May 29.

For more than a decade, Heefner has helped clients in the commercial, industrial and government sectors solve problems associated with the care, protection and economic feasibility of critical infrastructure assets.

He has led assignments in areas such as life-cycle cost analysis, risk management and mitigation and strategic planning.

Heefner’s international career in engineering, management consulting and business development spans more than 30 years. Before Project Time & Cost Inc., he was a principal at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Heefner earned a bachelor's in civil engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and an master's in engineering at Utah State University.
