TASC wins life-cycle tasks for DHS Nuclear Detection Office

TASC Inc. has won three task orders worth a total of $54 million to provide advanced systems engineering and integration, and other decision-support services to the Homeland Security Department.

The award calls for TASC to assist DHS’ Domestic Nuclear Detection Office with full life-cycle support for its Architecture Directorate, Product Acquisition and Deployment Directorate and Systems Engineering and Evaluation Directorate.

Services will include mission and architecture analysis, systems engineering, test and evaluation, and modeling and simulation.

“Any failure of our homeland security systems could have catastrophic consequences. Our goal is to support the DNDO with assessments of the operational employment, technical capabilities and performance levels of its systems before they are deployed in the field,” Bruce Phillips, TASC vice president of Infrastructure Protection and Security, said in the May 29 announcement.
