HP may announce 30,000 layoffs -- Washington Technology

The Wall Street Journal’s AllThingsD is reporting that Hewlett-Packard Co. will announced 30,000 layoffs next week.

The moves are part of CEO Meg Whitman’s plan to free resources to make investments across the company.

A spokesman for HP declined to comment on the reports that also have surfaced on Bloomberg News and Business Insider.
