5 vie for $172M in Navy C4I task orders

Five federal contractors will compete for task orders under a three-year Navy contract that has a cumulative value of more than $172 million if all options are exercised, the Defense Department announced May 14.

Under the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific contracting activity, the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts call for providing command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems engineering support.

The support includes command and intelligence systems analysis, concept definition, interface requirements, and system development and design for implementation, integration, interoperability, documentation, upgrades and training.

Accenture Federal Services’ initial $25.2 million IDIQ contract, like the others, includes a two-year option. If it is exercised, this award would have a potential value of $43.3 million.

The work will be performed in San Diego and Reston, Va.

Science Applications International Corp.’s initial IDIQ contract is worth $23.4 million.

If the two-year option is exercised, the potential value would be $40.1 million.

Work will be performed in San Diego and McLean, Va.

Booz Allen Hamilton’s $20.7 million IDIQ award has a potential value of $35.5 million if the two-year option is exercised.

The work will be performed in San Diego.

FGM Inc. has received a $16.4 million IDIQ, which has potential value of $28 million.

Work will be performed in San Diego and Reston, Va.

And Scientific Research Corp.’s $15 million IDIQ C4I award could be worth $25.4 million if its two-year option is exercised.

Work will be performed in San Diego and Atlanta.

All work is expected to be completed May 10, 2015.

The contracts were competitively procured via request and published on the Federal Business Opportunities website and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center e-Commerce Central website, with eight offers received, according to the DOD announcements.
