Spear quickly becomes Dell reseller, hires its former HR exec

Spear Inc., which was co-founded in February by former Dell Federal President Richard Pineda, is linking up with his former employer to become an authorized federal reseller of Dell IT solutions.

After establishing Spear as a small business that could bring extensive industry experience and expertise to federal agencies, company founders Pineda, Noel Samuel and Gino Antonelli sought a partnership with Dell based in part on their long-standing and proven business relationships with the computer giant, the company’s April 30 announcement explained.

“Spear can now provide our clients with Dell’s full suite of end-to-end technology solutions, helping our clients to become more efficient and further enhancing our ability to meet the federal government’s evolving IT needs,” COO Antonelli said in the release.

Spear also announced the hiring of Katherine Kloc, who recently served as director of business operations at Dell Federal, as vice president of human resources and business operations.
