Six3 makes intell deal

Six3 Systems Inc. has acquired Ticom Geomatics to build its intelligence, surveillance and recognizance capabilities.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Ticom has about 180 engineers working on geolocation and ISR systems, particularly in the tactical mission area.

Six3 provides ISR, cyber and intelligence solutions to the national security market. The company is formed by GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm and its management team lead by Robert Coleman and Jack Pearlstein.

Coleman said Ticom’s capabilities strongly complement Six3’s capabilities.

Ticom’s customers had been asking the company to expand its offerings and by joining Six3, the company can “extend our capabilities to support their mission requirements,” said Mark Leach, founder and president of Ticom.
