XL, Alon merge to broaden services, customer base

XL Inc., a global acquisition, grants and professional services company, has merged with Alon Inc.

The aim is to expand its range of services and customer base, Washington-based XL said in an April 16 announcement.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Alon, of Springfield, Va., assists federal customers with program management, strategic acquisition planning and financial management services. Client services include homeland security, international defense force security and historical document preservation.

XL founder Lloyd Mustin will serve as CEO of the combined company, with Alon’s Stephanie Simeone and Laurie Krieg serving respectively as executive vice president of business development and marketing and executive vice president of field operations.
