BAE provides DOD with life-cycle management, software services

Objective is to provide life-cycle software development engineering to the DOD Intelligence Information System and intelligence community.

BAE Systems Information Solutions will provide life-cycle management and other services to the Defense Department and the intelligence community under a five-year, $49.9 million contract.

In addition to the life-cycle management support, the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price orders calls for BAE to provide technical support, system analysis, and engineering operations and maintenance.

The technical objective is to provide life-cycle software development engineering to DOD's Intelligence Information System and the U.S. intelligence community worldwide, according to the April 4 DOD announcement.

The work will be performed in Rome, N.Y., at the Air Force Research Laboratory/RKIF, which is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Inc., of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
