CACI hires former Lockheed exec as COO for US operations

CACI International Inc. has named John Mengucci chief operating officer for U.S. Operations.

He will oversee the company's four main business groups – Enterprise Technologies and Services, the Mission Systems Group, National Solutions Group, and Transformation Solutions Group, according to a Feb. 15 company announcement.

He brings a strong track record of developing and implementing successful growth strategies and managing large operations for peak performance to continue CACI's sustained growth and success, the announcement said.

Mengucci comes from Lockheed Martin Corp., where he served as president of the company's Information Systems and Global Solutions - Civil Product Line.

Most recently, he led a 13,000-person, $4 billion business area for Lockheed Martin. His group served clients that included the Homeland Security and Justice departments and the FBI, Federal Aviation Administration, NASA and other federal agencies.

He also served as president of Lockheed’s Information Systems and Global Solutions – Defense, where his responsibilities included the execution and growth of a $3.5 billion business area providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; command and control; data fusion; and IT solutions and services to the Defense Department and international defense ministries.

"CACI offers me the opportunity to join a highly credentialed team of leaders whose vision and strategy are guiding one of the top-performing companies in our industry,” Mengucci said in the statement.

CACI Inc., of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
