Dell consolidates business lines, public sector lead retires

Paul Bell, president of Dell’s public sector and large enterprise business, is retiring effective March 30.

At the same time, the company has revamped its structure by moving all of its business segements under Steve Felice, who was named president and chief commercial officer.

With the restructuring, Felice will oversee public, large enterprise, small and medium business as well as consumer business, according to a Dell announcement.

Bell’s departure accelerated Dell’s shifts in its go-to-market organization. The goal is to simplify the company’s customer-facing activities, Dell said.

The new structure will take effect on Feb. 4.

“These changes will enhance our sales and marketing efforts, bringing us even closer to our customers and increasing the speed, agility and responsiveness of every aspect of our business,” said Michael Dell, chairman and CEO.
