ICF completes $100M purchase of web developer

ICF International Inc. has completed its $100 million acquisition of Ironworks Consulting, L.L.C., an interactive web development firm.

Ironworks provides customer engagement solutions across web, mobile and social media platforms to federal government agencies, nonprofit organizations and companies in the health, energy and financial services industries, according to a Jan. 3 ICF announcement.

Ironworks’ federal clients include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Veterans Affairs Department and the National Science Foundation, ICF said when it announced its intention last month to buy the company.

McGrath North Mullin & Kratz P.C., L.L.O., acted as ICF’s legal counsel on the transaction. RSM McGladrey Inc. conducted financial and tax due diligence for ICF.

Signal Hill Capital Group L.L.C. initiated this transaction and acted as sole financial adviser to Ironworks Consulting, the announcement said.

ICF International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 64 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
