ICF continues tech aid for CDC community health program

ICF International Inc. will continue to provide technical and other assistance to the Health and Human Services Department under a 7-year contract that is valued at $70 million.

The new contract from HHS’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will support the Community Transformation Grants (CTG) program, according to an Oct. 17 company announcement.

The contract calls for ICF to design, implement and manage training and technical assistance for grantees of the CTG program to promote sustainable changes in policies, environments, programs and infrastructure so as to prevent chronic diseases and reduce health disparities.

“This continues our work in the connection between health and surrounding environmental and social determinants, the conditions of those places where individuals live, work and play,” said Jeanne Townend, executive vice president of ICF International, in the announcement.

ICF International Inc., of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 64 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
