ICF will again provide IT aid to HHS Childrens' Bureau

Contract renewal includes clearinghouse assistance

ICF International Inc. will continue providing clearinghouse and other IT services to the Health and Human Services Department having successfully won a five-year recompete contract that is valued at $44.6 million.

The contract for HHS' Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau calls for the ICF team to operate the Child Welfare Information Gateway using comprehensive knowledge management, information and acquisition systems, according to an Oct. 7 ICF announcement.

The contracted services will ensure that timely and relevant resources are readily available through the project’s websites, library and print products, the announcement said.

Additionally, ICF will collect and provide access to a wide scope of materials on practice, theory, research, and policy in the areas of child abuse, child welfare, and adoption.

The contractor also will operate Child Welfare Information Gateway, providing information and other assistance to professionals and parents to improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of the nation’s children.
