CSC's new health care VP to lead federal business push

Executive will help meet required Affordable Care Act reforms

David Levitt has been named vice president of health IT solutions at Computer Sciences Corp.’s North American Public Sector Health Services Division.

He will be responsible for developing new business with key federal health agencies and positioning CSC as a leader in providing new systems necessary to implement the reforms required by the Affordable Care Act, the company said in an announcement Sept. 6.

Levitt has more than 30 years of experience with CSC and served most recently as the account director for the HITS business unit, including collaborations with the Veterans Affairs Department, Defense Department Health Affairs, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other federal agencies requiring health care-related IT support, such as the Labor Department.

He also has contributed to the business unit’s wins of several critical engagements in health care, not least of which was the Development Effort Consolidation Contract, a major modernization project within the CMS, the announcement states.

Levitt holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in physics from the University of Maryland and a law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.

CSC Corp., of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
