Accelera acquistion meant to bolster Microsoft solutions
Virtualization solutions provider acquires ITS Group consulting firm.
Accelera Solutions, an IT virtualization solutions provider that focuses on cloud computing and server virtualization, has today acquired the ITS Group’s Services Division, an IT consulting group. Financial terms of the deal were not reported.
The move is meant to buoy Accelera’s Microsoft Systems Management and Messaging technologies offerings, according to the company's August 30 statement,
Accelera President Joe Brown said that it was ITS’ “similar culture, deep technical skills, impressive customer base” and customer delivery skills, that went into the acquisition decision.
The close alignment of ITS Group with Accelera’s target growth markets was another reason for the acquisition, according to the statement.
As a result of the procurement, ITS CEO Mitch Chen will lead a newly created Microsoft Enterprise Application Business Unit; the combined organizations will be based at Accelera’s headquarters in Fairfax, Va.
