SE Solutions acquires emergency response IT provider

Purchase broadens company's DHS, first-responder offerings

Strategic Enterprise Solutions Inc., a government management consulting company, has completed its acquisition of Evolution Technologies Inc. The financial terms of the deal were not reported.

EvoTec specializes in emergency and disaster processing, systems support and electronic information exchange.

The company helps state, local and federal authorities establish data exchange communications among first responders, providing successful definition, development and integration services for Emergency Data Exchange Language and the National Information Exchange Model, according to the Aug. 1 announcement.

As a result of the deal, SE Solutions will gain emergency management and response capabilities and communications standards expertise.

“This acquisition directly aligns with our strategy to provide end-to-end mission support to our homeland security customers,” SE Solutions CEO John Rothenberger said in the announcement.

He added that EvoTec, which will become an integrated business unit, broadens SE Solutions’ services for the entire Homeland Security Department down to the first responder.
