S4 hires former GDIT director to run DOD programs

Jay Davis become company’s director of NORAD and Northern Command programs

S4 Inc. has hired a former General Dynamics senior director to provide strategic direction for its North American Aerospace Defense Command and Northern Command contracts.

Jay Davis was named the company’s director of NORAD and Northern Command programs in the Colorado Springs, Colo., region. He joins S4 from General Dynamics Information Technology, where he served as senior director of Air Force and joint solutions responsible for managing 11 DOD and Air Force contracts.

The retired Air Force colonel has more than 32 years of DOD experience providing senior-level leadership, strategic planning and execution expertise in building high-performing, goal-oriented teams, according to an Aug. 1 company announcement.

During his Air Force career, Davis was a recognized expert in planning, coordinating and executing DOD special operations missions.

S4, of Burlington, Mass., is a certified small disadvantaged business that provides mission-critical support to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Defense Information Systems Agency, U.S. Central Command and other DOD agencies and military branches.
