Vangent provides 24/7 apps support for Military Health System

Vangent Inc. has won a 32-month, $9 million Defense Department contract to provide around the clock production application support for the Military Health System’s Defense Health Services Systems Program Executive Office.

Vangent Inc. has won a 32-month, $9 million Defense Department contract to provide around the clock production application support for the Military Health System’s (MHS) Defense Health Services Systems (DHSS) Program Executive Office.

Under the contract, Vangent will deliver operations, security and maintenance services for the portfolio of DHSS applications, according to a July 28 company announcement.

The services will be based on DHSS’ continued alignment to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, the process framework for governing operations of its applications and services to users.

DHSS develops and maintains products and initiatives for the MHS in three major areas: clinical support, medical logistics, and resources. Its IT systems are used worldwide, from data centers in military treatment facilities, to the front lines of military and humanitarian operations, the announcement said.

Vangent is supported by subcontractors n-tieractive and ARCBridge, as well as by partnerships with enterprise software companies SAP, Informatica Corp. and Fortify Software, an HP company.
