Agilex creates chief quality officer job, hires Northrop exec for post

Position is designed to boost customer service

Agilex has hired Mark Scheffel for the newly created position of chief quality officer with the goal of directed efforts to partner more closely with its clients. He will report directly to Agilex President John Gall and serve as a member of the executive management team.

His mandate includes ongoing efforts internally to implement process improvement and quality control measures for more consistent, higher quality product and service delivery. He will also provide subject matter expertise for strategic capture management pursuits, client process reengineering engagements and internal product development initiatives.

Scheffel has extensive experience in creating, deploying and managing complex enterprise solutions for both government and commercial clients. He is also a recognized expert in BPM and related process improvement disciplines.

He joins Agilex from Northrop Grumman Corp., where he was responsible for the development and delivery of business process management and human capital management solutions within the federal civilian sector.

Scheffel previously served as vice president of Product Strategy and Development for Integic.

Following the company’s 2005 acquisition by Northrop Grumman, Scheffel was named president of the Integic subsidiary. Subsequently, he was named director of enterprise process solutions for Northrop Grumman's Civil Systems division.
