Terrorist plot to kill Lockheed CEO revealed

A terrorist plot to assassinate Lockheed Martin Corp. CEO Robert Stevens because his company makes drones was revealed during testimony at a U.S. court in Chicago May 31, reports Defense News.

The plot was being devised by a Pakistani al-Qaida group testified confessed terrorist David Coleman Headley during the trial of Tahawwur Hussain Rana, his friend and alleged co-conspirator in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Headley said he surreptitiously used Rana's office computer to conduct research on the plot to kill the defense contractor chief and testified on cross examination that his "research is more in-depth than Googling someone a couple of times," according to the news report.
