Who are the top 50 cloud providers in the market today?

Gigaom, the online tech magazine, has released a list of what it calls the Structure 50: the Top 50 Cloud Innovators.

There are plenty of familiar names on the list, such as Akami, Amazon, Apple, Dell, IBM and Rackspace. But others are definitely not household names.

Gigaom doesn’t reveal an exact methodology for compiling the list, but one of the fun things about lists is arguing about how some made and others didn’t make the cut.
