Cisco launches reorg

Company concerned about poor performance

Cisco Systems is revamping its structure following several quarters of disappointing earnings results, CRN reported.

Among the changes is the reduction of its internal councils, which were formed several years ago to foster collaboration, writes CRN’s Chad Berndtson. The services provider council remains and will be led by Pankaj Patel and Nick Adamo, the senior vice presidents of service provider engineering and service provider sales, respectively.

Other changes include organizing the company's field operations into three global regions: the Americas; Europe; the Middle East and Africa; and Asia Pacific/Japan/Greater China. However, dedicated teams will remain around certain customer groups that include public sector.
