Who is Jose Jimenez?

  • Left Cuba as a child in 1961.
  • Graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in electrical engineering.
  • Earned a master’s degree in management from Troy State University.
  • Served 20 years in the Navy.
  • Joined Computer Sciences Corp. in 1999 when the company acquired Nichols Research and Welkin Associates.
  • Most recent position was president of CSC's North American Public Sector Strategy and Development division.
  • Awards: The Estrella award from the Hispanic IT Executive Council for his contribution to the advancement of technology and diversity; named a Top 100 IT executive by the council; recognized by Hispanic Engineer and Information Technology magazine as one of the most important Hispanics in technology.

    Other activities: Serves on the board of the Fairfax County, Va., court-appointed special advocates; member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, including its governance and executive committees; and member of the Hispanic IT Executive Council.
