Fuchs has bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Sid Fuchs, former president and CEO of ATS Corp., is now a senior adviser to Indus Corp. CEO Shiv Krishnan, according to a company announcement today.

Fuchs, a well-known executive with more than 25 years experience in intelligence, national security, aerospace and defense, will act as a consultant, not an employee, focusing on the strategic development and execution.

“Shiv and I have been looking for a way to work together for the past few years,” he told Washington Technology in an e-mail today.

“I am assisting Shiv and his leadership team in developing an Intelligence Community strategy in addition to advising the corporation on key strategic initiatives," Fuchs wrote. "I am excited to be part of Shiv’s team."

Fuchs joins former Indus President and Vice Chairman Carleton Jones and Al Blumenthal, executive vice president emeritus, as company advisers.

Before working at ATS, Fuchs was president and CEO of OAO Technology Solutions, which was acquired by Platinum Equity in 2010.

Before that, he was president and CEO of TASC Inc., a $1.2 billion Northrop Grumman subsidiary with more than 5,000 employees worldwide that provides systems engineering and operations expertise to the defense and intelligence communities.

Fuchs’ background includes domestic and foreign postings with the CIA. In 2008, he was named to the Defense Science Board’s Permanent Task Force on Intelligence by the undersecretary of defense for intelligence.

Upon nomination by the White House in 2002, he was appointed to the Board of Visitors of the National Defense University by the secretary of defense.
