Retired Army general will lead ManTech's strategic initiatives

Daniel Keefe was a senior vice president and general manager at L-3 Communications

ManTech International Corp. has named retired Army Gen. Daniel Keefe senior vice president for strategic initiatives in its Technical Services Group.

The TSG provides services in global supply chain and logistics; command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; and IT modernization support.

In his new role, Keefe will lead strategic initiatives and manage relationships between the group and its customers, potential customers and strategic partners.

Most recently, Keefe was a senior vice president and general manager in L-3 Communications Inc., and before that he was vice president of the Linguist and Translation Division and vice president of operations in L-3’s Services Group.

Keefe, who retired as a brigadier general in 2005, was commanding general of all U.S. forces in Kosovo and V Corps chief of staff during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He held a variety of command and staff positions in the U.S., Germany, Korea and Italy and participated in noncombatant evacuations and humanitarian assignments in Africa.

Keefe holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oklahoma.

ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 31 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
