SAIC scores $62M IT contract extension from NASA
Award calls for agencywide information services and integration support

Science Applications International Corp. has won a 22-month IT contract extension from NASA that could be worth more than $62 million if all options are exercised.
Under the Unified NASA Information Technology Services extension, SAIC will continue helping the NASA Information Technology Service Network with agencywide information services and integration support, according to a company statement today.
SAIC will provide IT services that include managing worldwide network services, audio-visual services, telecommunications, IT procurement, security, and computing and mainframe system support.
The extension also supports the NASA Enterprise Applications Competency Center by providing system administration and mainframe operations administered by NASA’s George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.
SAIC, which has provided IT assistance to NASA since 2004, will provide these services to all 10 NASA field centers, NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C., the NASA Shared Services Center, and international NASA partners to support NASA's focus on pioneering the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research, Doug Wagoner, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in the announcement.
SAIC Corp., of McLean, Va., ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
