ICF leads trio in $100M HHS disease, epidemiologic investigations

Contract will benefit Public Health Service work

ICF International Inc. will lead a three-member group in assisting the Health and Human Services Department with strategic information services under a five-year contract that could be worth as much as $100 million.

Under the terms of the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity award, ICF, Columbia University and Westat Inc., a Rockville, Md., government research firm, will provide global epidemiology and strategic information services to HHS’s Public Health Service.

The scope of the contract calls for ICF to conduct capacity building, technical assistance, implementation, and other services to support the strategic information activities, which could include program monitoring and evaluation, surveillance and surveys.

The activities also involve disease outbreak and epidemiologic investigation, statistics and modeling, health economics and finance analysis, and health information systems support.

ICF International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 66 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
