DRC joins contractor trio to boost Army training program

Award will assist the Army Research Institute

Dynamics Research Corp. and three other contractors will share a five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity training contract for the Army that has a $30 million ceiling.

The IDIQ award calls for DRC, Aptima Inc., Northrop Grumman Technical Services Inc. and ICF International Inc. to provide research and analysis on military training and leader development, which will assist the Army Research Institute program known as TRAIN II, according to a DRC announcement.

DRC will support the Army Research Institute in analyzing, evaluating, and assessing human performance and the impact of training and leader development interventions.

The contract includes conducting research and analysis projects to improve Army training and leadership development, and implementing state-of-the-art training delivery technology for maximum efficiency.

DRC, of Andover, Mass., will analyze training and leader development needs and requirements, and design exemplar or prototype development methods.

Northrop Grumman Corp., of Los Angeles, ranks No. 2 on Washington Technology's 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal contractors. ICF International Inc., of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 66.
