Harris wins follow-on deal to support Air Force software program

$15 million technical assistance contract is follow on to NetCents program

Harris Corp. will continue to provide technical assistance to the Air Force under a two-year, $15 million contract.

The competitively awarded contract, under the Network-Centric Solutions contract vehicle, calls for Harris to assist the Headquarters Air Force Information Management Enterprise Business Solutions Software Development Services Support program, according to a Harris announcement today.

Under the follow-on contract, the Harris team will deliver technical services based on proven IT methodologies and frameworks.

The services include program requirements management, process engineering and systems administration.

This follow-on contract continues the work started under previous competitive awards for this program, including a $7 million contract awarded in January of this year, according to the statement.

The Harris team consists of Avande, ATS Corp., Capability Plus Solutions Inc. and IndigoIT.

Harris has supported the program since June of 2007.

The NetCcents contract is a five-year, $9 billion acquisition initiative that delivers interoperability and the constant evolution of best-in-class technology and solutions to the Air Force, Defense Department and other federal agencies.

Harris Corp., of Melbourne, Fla., ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
