CACI to aid Army with intelligence processing upgrades
Task order calls for improving the receipt, processing and sharing of intell data

CACI International Inc. will provide program management and technical engineering services to the Army under a $45 million task order.
The award calls for CACI to upgrade Common Ground Systems with subsystems from the Army’s Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Ground Mobile system, according to a company statement today.
The enhanced Common Ground Systems will provide soldiers with improved means of receiving, processing and sharing intelligence in a mobile, tactical environment, the statement explained.
The DCGS-A integrates intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data within a single system, streamlining the Army’s ability to process and disseminate the data to commanders in the field.
As a result, field commanders gain a better situational understanding of their environment, which enables them to visualize and analyze imminent threats, predict threat intentions, and develop countermeasures.
The CACI team, which includes General Dynamics C4 Systems, will provide software and lifecycle management for the integrated systems by performing budget and program financial analysis, managing and training users, and providing logistical support.
The award falls under CACI’s Strategic Services Sourcing contract with the Army.
CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 16 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
