CACI helps Navy track ordnance worldwide

New award continues two-decade relationship

CACI International Inc. will provide further program management and technical support to the Navy under a five-year, $36 million prime contract.

The indefinite delivery, indefinite-quantity contract calls for the company to assist the Naval Operational Logistics Support Center’s Ordnance Information System, which is used to manage and track Navy ordnance worldwide, a company announcement said today.

The majority of the work will be performed at Navy facilities in Bloomington, Ind., and at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Va.

The award continues a 20-year relationship with the Navy’s ordnance community.

The logistics support center develops state-of-the-art Web-based logistical and inventory management tools for its ordnance logistics experts worldwide and the center’s comprehensive Ordnance Information System provides critical, real-time ordnance tracking globally, the company said.

CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 16 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
