Stanley wins State task order for visa processing assistance

CGI subsidiary will work with U.S. embassies in Asia

Stanley Associates Inc. will help the State Department handle visa applications in Asia under a five-year task order that could be worth as much as $9.2 million.

Stanley, now a subsidiary of CGI Federal Inc., won this first firm-fixed-price task order under the 10-year multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity Global Support Strategy contract, which has a ceiling value of $2.8 billion.

As a result, CGI will provide business process support services to State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs as it processes more than 320,000 immigrant and non-immigrant visas at U.S. embassies and consulates in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, according to a CGI statement released today.

CGI Federal Inc. finalized its acquisition of Stanley on Aug. 17. CGI Federal, in turn, is a wholly owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc.

Stanley Inc., of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 44 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors. CGI Group Inc., of Montreal, ranks No. 82.
