CSC provides Army with $104M in technical services

Contractor will work at Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center

Computer Sciences Corp. will provide technical and engineering support to the Army under a five-year task order with an estimated total value of $104 million.

The order calls for CSC to provide technology integration and insertion engineering support for systems engineering and digitization projects and objectives at the Army’s Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center in Huntsville, Ala.

The center is part of the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command that provides research, development and engineering technology and services for the Army’s aviation and missile platforms.

CSC also will provide support for communications, simulation and live training transformation technologies.

The task order was awarded under the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command’s Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services blanket purchase agreement that CSC won in 2005.

Computer Sciences Corp., of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 10 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal contractors.
