SAIC will test and evaluate Air Force information center ops

$14M task order covers services at Air Force Joint Electronic Warfare Center in Nevada

Science Applications International Corp. will provide test and evaluation services at the Air Force Joint Electronic Warfare Center in Nevada under a task order that has a total value of more than $14 million.

The center plans, integrates and synchronizes information operations in direct support of Joint Force commanders and serves as the U.S. Strategic Command’s lead for enhancing information operations across the Defense Department, according to a company announcement released today.

SAIC’s support will include operational procedure development; service components and combatant command collaboration; plan management; test plan integration; test material development; and mission requirement articulation.

Work will be performed primarily at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

The task order was awarded under the United States Strategic Command Systems and Mission Support II contract.

The task order, which has an 11-month base period and three one-year options, comes from the 55th Contracting Squadron, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.

SAIC, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal contractors.
