Three contractors vie to support Marine Corps
Task orders could rack up $45 million in revenue for trio

Three government contractors will vie for Navy task orders under a five-year contract for Marine Corps Mass Notification System support services that has an aggregate value of approximately $45 million.
BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Service, Science Applications International Corp., and SkillStorm Government Integrated Services will compete to supply the Marines with site surveys, integration services, installation and technical support, according to a June 9 Defense Department announcement.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contracts have a base period of one year and four additional option years.
If all options are exercised, work could continue until June 2015.
Approximately one-third of the work will be performed in Japan, Korea and Iraq.
The remainder will take place in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Guam.
The work is expected to be completed by June 2011, DOD said.
The multiple award contracts were competitively procured by full and open competition via the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command E-commerce and the Federal Business Opportunities Web sites, with six offers received.
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic is the contracting activity.
