ICF to expand cancer data collection for CDC
ICF International subsidiary will create up to 15 central cancer registries

ICF International Inc. will build cancer data repositories for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under a new $19 million contract.
The award from the CDC’s Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (DCPC), through the Health and Human Services Department, has a term of 41 months, according to a May 17 company announcement.
ICF International, through its Macro International subsidiary, will create up to 15 central cancer registries.
The company also will support enhancing data collection for public heath applications and comparative effectiveness research by expanding current data collection to include complete and detailed treatment, stage, biomarker and demographic information.
The collected data will contribute to the Initial National Priorities for Comparative Effectiveness Research as defined by the Institute of Medicine, ICF International said.
Macro International has supported the DCPC and the National Program of Cancer Registries for more than 10 years as part of the NPCR Cancer Surveillance System.
ICF International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 99 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
