Northrop names new communications VP for info systems
Cheryl Janey will be in charge of all sector communications and planning and implementing comprehensive programs to support new business

Northrop Grumman Corp. has named Cheryl Janey vice president of communications for the company's Information Systems sector.
She will be in charge of all sector communications and positioning activities, planning and implementing comprehensive programs to support new business opportunities, and managing employee and executive communications, according to a Northrop announcement today.
She will report to Linda Mills, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Information Systems.
Janey has nearly 30 years’ experience in the information technology industry, most recently as vice president of operations for the Information Systems’ Civil Systems Division at Northrop Grumman.
Before that, she was president of civil programs at Harris Corp.
Janey is a member of the Potomac Officers’ Club, Women in Technology and the GovMark Council.
Northrop Grumman, of Los Angeles, ranks No. 3 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
