Former SRA exec will lead ManTech space and intell services

Gregory Roman also had lengthy Air Force career

ManTech International Corp. has named Gregory Roman senior vice president for space and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services in its Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology group.

Roman will oversee ManTech’s support to NASA, Air Force systems engineering and technical analysis programs, the National Reconnaissance Office, ISR services and space situational awareness contracts, according to a company announcement today.

Before joining ManTech, Roman was a vice president at SRA International Inc., in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he was responsible for working with the U.S. Northern Command, the Air Force Space Command and the Army Space and Missile Defense Command.

Roman previously spent 23 years in the Air Force, retiring as the commander of the 544th Information Operations Group at Pederson Air Force Base, Colo.

Roman has a master’s degree in business administration from Colorado Technical University and a master’s of science in management from Troy State University, Ala. He earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from the Air Force Academy.

ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
