Gallaway joins CACI to boost national security offerings
New hire has led numerous DHS threat detection programs

CACI International Inc. has hired Charles Gallaway, former acting director of the Homeland Security Department’s Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, as a vice president to support the company’s national security strategies.
Gallaway's security expertise will help CACI formulate and develop strategies and programs to enhance national security in areas such as energy and non-proliferation, according to a company announcement made today.
Gallaway joins CACI after leading a wide variety of DHS programs to develop, deploy and enhance global detection capabilities.
He helped develop programs to protect the nation from nuclear and radiological terrorism and worked with international, federal, state and local government officials to implement the Global Nuclear Detection Architecture.
He also worked with the White House and Congress to assure that programs were aligned with national priorities and were adequately funded.
Before DHS, Gallaway was director of the Chemical and Biological Technologies Directorate of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, where he helped develop capabilities to protect armed services members from chemical and biological threats.
