Labor looks for vet-owned firm for IT services work

IDIQ contract covers broad scope

The Labor Department is preparing to award a five-year contract for a broad range of professional information technology support that will include assistance in key areas such as investment management, enterprise architecture and business solutions development.

The department’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management issued a draft Request for Proposals and a Statement of Workon Oct. 30 on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site. Vendors are invited to submit applications by Dec. 2 for the Professional Services for IT Governance contract.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract will include services related to investment management and capital planning, IT security, records management, enterprise architecture, software development and project management, online procurement system support, identity management and physical access and continuity of operations.

The contract has one base year and four one-year options. Its scope of services includes managing the full systems development life-cycle management process that includes governance, enterprise architecture, planning, security and performance reporting.

The value of the contract is not listed.

Many federal departments seek assistance for IT that includes solutions development and enterprise architectures. For example, the Health and Human Services Department in September awarded an $800 million contract for IT support.
